Are you practical, reliable and good with detail? Looking for a hands-on role where you can learn specialist manufacturing skills with full training provided?

Graticules Optics is looking for a Trainee Production Operative to join our Electroforming Department in Tonbridge.

The role

You’ll be trained in the specialist processes used to manufacture our precision electroformed components.

This is detailed, hands-on work involving micro-patterns, chemical processes and periods of standing. You’ll also learn how to inspect and test your work to make sure it meets our quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Learn processes including mandrel preparation, grid cleaning, electroforming and resist dipping
• Manufacture and handle precision components
• Carry out quality checks and testing
• Follow work procedures and Health & Safety guidance
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

The person

You don’t need previous electroforming experience — full training is provided.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has a good eye for detail
• Can concentrate and follow instructions carefully
• Is practical, self-motivated and willing to learn
• Can follow Health & Safety procedures
• Is comfortable with hands-on production work
• Experience with fine-detail or microscope work would be useful, but isn’t essential.
