Transactional Manager in Trafford Park, Greater Manchester

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a fast-paced and growing organisation based in Manchester. Due to continued development within the finance function, they are looking to appoint an experienced Transactional Finance Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day transactional finance operation and lead a small team.
Your new roleThis is a varied, hands-on role where you will oversee the transactional finance function, ensuring processes are accurate, efficient and well controlled.
Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing and developing a team of three
• Overseeing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Credit Control
• Managing customer invoicing and cash allocation
• Overseeing supplier and customer ledgers
• Managing supplier payments, employee expenses and company credit cards
• Ensuring bank reconciliations are completed accurately
• Overseeing purchase order processes
• Supporting month-end, including ledger reconciliations and accruals
• Assisting with balance sheet reporting
• Maintaining robust financial controls
• Supporting the administration and effective use of finance systems
• Identifying opportunities to improve, automate and streamline transactional processes
• Working closely with the Management Accounting team to support accurate and timely financial reporting

What you'll need to succeed
You will have a strong background within transactional finance, ideally with experience across both AP and AR/Credit Control.
You will be comfortable taking a hands-on approach whilst also managing and developing a small team.You will be highly organised with excellent attention to detail and confident building relationships with stakeholders throughout the business. Strong Excel and systems skills are important, alongside a proactive approach to process improvement.Experience working within a fast-paced or growing business would be particularly beneficial.
