Transport Administrator in Knowsley, Merseyside

My client, a leading distributor with a worldwide client base, is seeking a professional transport administrator to join their team on a permanent basis. Based from large offices with free parking, this is an opportunity not to be missed.


Your new role
The position is being offered full time Monday to Friday with working hours of 08.30am until 17.00pm Monday to Thursday and 08.30am until 16.30pm on Fridays. Please note this is a fully office-based role.
You will be joining a team of 2 transport planners and a transport manager and will be responsible for the streaming and coordination of all the transport administration.
Some of your duties will include but not limited to
Assist in both load and route planning
Ensure all administrative tasks relating to the transport, distribution and returns departments are carried out consistently, accurately and in a timely manner
Process customer order requirements within the agreed parameters relating to lead-time, cost, volume, and quality specification.
Complete returned goods documentation
Handle incoming communication from customer service and resolve enquiries
Build strong working relationships with internal departments and suppliers
Check compliance adherence for digital tachographs and drivers' hours, and infringements monitored.

What you'll need to succeed
Minimum 6 months' experience working within a transport administration environment
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Personable professional
Passion for going that extra mile
Demonstrates strong route planning knowledge across all UK regions, ensuring efficient and cost-effective transport solutions.
Proficient in all Microsoft Office suite
Exceptional eye for detail
