Transport Administrator

 

Pertemps are recruiting for a Transport Administrator to join a leading logistics company based in Basingstoke. This is an ongoing temporary position. 


Responsibilities as a Transport Administrator: 

  • Coordination of import shipments into

  • Coordination of export shipments 

  • Coordination of collections/deliveries within UK and Europe 

  • Export & Import document creation, validation, consolidation and distribution

  • Export/Import customs processes

  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers ensuring that they are kept informed and always updated

  • Invoicing customers through business software

 

Requirements:

  • Experience working with freight forwarders is advantageous

  • Good understanding of haulage and shipments 

  •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Innovative and resourceful 

  • Highly organised and able to work well under pressure

 

The Role: 

  • Monday – Friday

  • 7.30am – 4pm 

  • £13.50 - £15.80 per hour depending on experience
