We're looking for a proactive Transport Operator to join a growing logistics business supporting a major national retail contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with transport or logistics experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, communicating with drivers and ensuring transport operations run smoothly.

Previous transport experience would be advantageous, however attitude, organisation and a willingness to learn are equally important.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day running of the transport operation.
• Act as the first point of contact for drivers.
• Liaise with customers, warehouses and subcontractors.
• Monitor vehicle movements and respond to operational issues.
• Maintain transport documentation and operational records.
• Assist with driver communication and vehicle scheduling.
• Support transport planners with daily operational requirements.
• Ensure excellent customer service at all times.

What We're Looking For

Essential

• Ability to work well under pressure.

Desirable

• Previous transport or logistics experience.
• Knowledge of transport operations.
• Experience using Transport Management Systems.

Working Hours

• Monday-Friday rotating shifts between 06:00 and 18:00.
• Based on any 5 days from 7 during peak periods.
• Weekend overtime available when required.
• Participation in an on-call rota (January-September).
