Transport Planner – Oxford (Hybrid)
An Oxford-based multidisciplinary consultancy, offering engineering, design, and surveying expertise to the construction industry, is looking to appoint a Transport Planner to join their growing team on a hybrid working basis. The firm supports clients through every stage of a project and brings broad experience across a wide range of sectors.
This is an excellent opportunity for a driven transport planner to work across a varied portfolio of projects, from initial assessment through to delivery, within a business that offers close collaboration with other disciplines and a genuinely varied workload.
The Role:
- Producing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, and Travel Plans in support of planning applications
- Undertaking junction and site access modelling and capacity assessments
- Providing technical transport input across the full project lifecycle, from feasibility through to construction
- Working closely with project managers, other disciplines, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification
- Liaising with local authorities and statutory bodies where required
What's Required:
- A degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience in a similar transport planning role
- Strong working knowledge of relevant modelling software (e.g. Junctions 9/ARCADY/PICADY, LinSig) and UK planning/transport standards
- Chartered status (or working towards, e.g. TPS/CIHT) would be an advantage
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
