Salary: £30,000/£35,000
Penguin Recruitment are currently working with Stuart Michael Associates (SMA), an established multidisciplinary consultancy delivering infrastructure, transportation and environmental projects for public and private-sector clients across the UK. They are looking to appoint a Transport Planner to join their growing team.
The Role
- Working on a varied portfolio of transport and infrastructure projects
- Providing transport planning advice to public and private-sector clients
- Supporting the preparation of transport assessments, statements and related technical reports
- Working collaboratively with engineers, planners and other technical professionals
- Contributing to practical and innovative transport solutions
- Developing client relationships and supporting project delivery
Requirements
- Experience within transport planning or a relevant graduate-level background
- A relevant degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography or a related discipline
- Good understanding of transport planning principles and the UK planning process
- Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- A proactive approach with a willingness to develop professionally
- CIHT/CILT membership or progression towards professional membership would be advantageous
