Treasury Assistant
Dudley Building Society
At Dudley Building Society, we're here to help people live better lives. As one of the UK's fastest-growing building societies, with a proud heritage and ambitious plans for the future, we're looking for a Treasury Assistant to join our Finance team and support the Society's treasury activity.
This is a great entry-level opportunity for someone who is confident with numbers, enjoys working with data and spreadsheets, and is keen to build a career in financial services treasury.
You'll work closely with colleagues across the wider Finance team and Treasury to help ensure information is accurate, timely and well controlled. You will be supporting effective decision-making and helping the Society remain financially resilient for the benefit of our members.
The role
As our Treasury Assistant, you'll help the Treasury team with day-to-day tasks linked to cash, funding and financial information. You'll also learn the skills and knowledge needed to build a career in Treasury.
The role will include helping with daily treasury work, keeping records updated, supporting reports and learning how treasury works in a building society.
What you'll be doing
- Help monitor daily cash, cash flow and funding information, making sure it is accurate and shared with the right people when needed.
- Maintain accurate records and support the administration of treasury systems, documentation, confirmations and reconciliations.
- Help prepare reports and updates on treasury information, such as cash, funding and market data.
- Take responsibility for your learning and development, including any relevant training or qualification where appropriate.
What we're looking for
- No previous treasury experience is required, but an interest in financial services, financial markets, numeracy, data analysis and risk management would be beneficial.
- Confidence working with numbers, spreadsheets and data, with strong attention to detail.
- Someone who is organised, accurate and able to maintain clear records and supporting evidence.
- A willingness to learn about building society treasury, liquidity, funding, regulatory reporting and control processes.
- An appetite to work towards, or undertake, a relevant professional qualification.
- A proactive approach, with the confidence to ask questions, highlight issues and seek feedback.
- Someone who works well with others and wants to develop specialist knowledge within a supportive Treasury environment.
What's in it for you?
We want our people to feel supported, valued and able to thrive. In return, you'll receive:

- Full Private Medical Insurance for you and your family.
- A healthcare plan for everyday essentials like dental and optical.
