Tutor - SENMD/SEMH
Year 6 Tutor
We are also looking for a qualified teacher to provide targeted support for Year 6 pupils, working 1:15–3:15pm every day.- Must have recent experience teaching Year 6.
- Experience delivering the Year 6 SATs curriculum and preparing pupils for SATs is essential.
- The focus will be on supporting pupils who are just below age-related expectations and helping them to close gaps and catch up.
- Following the Year 6 SATs in May, the tutor will also support Year 5 pupils with their learning and progress.
- The successful candidate should be organised and able to use assessment information effectively to identify gaps and adapt support accordingly.
In order to be successful for this role you must have:
- A Qualified teacher status is essential
- Experience working with children in an educational setting
- Experience working with children with SEND/SEMH
- Knowledge and the ability to tutor Maths and/or English
- A passion for working closely with children in a relevant setting.
- Ability to stay calm and patient and understanding.
- Ability to work with the students both 121 and in small groups.
