UK&I HSE Advisor
Location: Birmingham or home-based, with national travel required, including regular travel to Birmingham, Andover and London
Hours: 37 per week

Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, is seeking a UK&I HSE Advisor to support the day-to-day implementation of the UK&I HSE Management System (HSE-MS) across assigned sites and projects.
The successful candidate will act as the primary HSET contact for local management and HSE Coordinators, helping to maintain, develop and improve health, safety and environmental standards across a diverse portfolio of sites and projects.
This role is suited to an experienced HSE professional with strong health, safety and environmental expertise. The position involves supporting compliance activities, conducting cross-audits, investigating incidents and promoting best practice to ensure the effective implementation and continuous improvement of HSE standards across the contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation and continuous improvement of the UK&I HSE Management System, including the development of policies, procedures, guidance and training materials.
- Design, deliver and implement strategic projects that support a positive HSE culture and compliance across the business.
- Promote HSE awareness through effective communication, training and engagement with managers and staff.
- Monitor legislative, policy and procedural changes and advise on any potential impact to business operations.
- Support the identification, assessment and resolution of HSE risks and ensure appropriate risk management measures are implemented.
- Conduct audits, inspections and cross-site reviews to verify compliance with the UK&I HSE Management System and report findings.
- Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and effectively followed through.
- Provide HSE advice and support to site management, HSE Coordinators, employees, subcontractors and external stakeholders as required.
Skills and Experience
- Strong health, safety and environmental experience.
- Proven knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 implementation and management.
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- IOSH Technical Safety Practitioner (or equivalent).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective time management skills with the ability to organise and prioritise workload.
- Experience supporting workstation assessments and DSE-related issues.
- Collaborative approach with the ability to influence and support stakeholders at all levels.
Additional Requirements
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness and ability to travel to UK&I sites as required.
