Van Driver Waste Collection

Waste Collection Operative - £13.50 per hour

Location: Truro, Cornwall

Pay: £13.50 per hour increasing to £14.00 per hour if successful with permanent position

We are currently recruiting for Waste Collection Van Drivers to join a busy and growing environmental services team in Cornwall. This is an excellent opportunity for reliable and hardworking individuals looking for ongoing, full-time work with the potential to secure a permanent position.

Shift Pattern:

• 07:30 - 17:00
• Monday - Sunday shifts available
• Full-time hours
• Ongoing work
• Potential permanent opportunities available

Duties May Include:

• Assisting with commercial and domestic waste collection routes
• Loading and unloading waste and recycling materials safely and efficiently
• Working as part of a team to complete daily collection schedules
• Ensuring waste is handled in line with company procedures and environmental standards
• Keeping vehicles, equipment and work areas clean and tidy
• General yard duties and housekeeping tasks
• Sorting and organising waste and recyclable materials where required
• Following health and safety procedures at all times

• Flexible approach to duties and working environments
• Previous experience within waste management, labouring, warehouse, driving or outdoor work would be advantageous but is not essential
