Van Driver – Winter Gritting

Driver Hire Nottingham are recruiting for a reliable Van Driver to support one of our clients with gritting operations over the winter months.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced commercial driver looking for seasonal work, with full training provided on the gritting equipment and procedures.

The Role

As a Winter Gritting Driver, your responsibilities will include:

• Driving a company van safely and responsibly
• Carrying out gritting duties across designated areas
• Operating gritting equipment following full training
• Completing daily vehicle checks
• Completing all required paperwork and documentation
• Working safely and following all company procedures
• Ensuring routes and areas are treated effectively during periods of cold weather

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• A full UK driving licence holder
• Experienced in commercial driving
• Reliable and punctual
• Comfortable working outdoors and in winter weather conditions
• Able to work independently
• Happy to complete vehicle checks and paperwork
• Safety-conscious with a professional attitude
