We are recruiting on behalf of our client for the position of Diagnostic Van Technician at a reputable Volkswagen dealership in Derby. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and experienced vehicle technician specialising in diagnostics who seeks to develop their career within a manufacturer-backed environment. Duties of a :
  • Diagnose and repair complex electrical and mechanical faults using advanced diagnostic tools
  • Use manufacturer technical data to identify issues accurately and efficiently
  • Conduct repairs and routine servicing to manufacturer standards
  • Ensure all work is completed with high accuracy, quality, and timeliness as a Van Technician
  • Support workshop productivity and contribute to team development
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through quality workmanship
  • Keep up to date with manufacturer technical bulletins and training requirements
Requirements of a Van Technician:
  • Level 3 Vehicle Technician qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 3 years workshop experience, including diagnostic work 
  • Strong diagnostic, fault-finding, and electrical skills
  • Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
  • Ability to work effectively within a busy dealership environment
  • Team-oriented attitude and strong work ethic
  • Committed to ongoing training and professional development
