We are currently seeking a highly skilled Vehicle Damage Assessor to join a well-established, family-run Vehicle Manufacturer approved bodyshop in Epsom, Surrey. We are recruiting for the position of Vehicle Damage Assessor, which offers a competitive salary range from £45,000 to £50,000 per annum, depending on experience. Alongside a basic salary, there is uncapped bonus potential through upselling, providing significant earning opportunities. The role is based on a Monday to Friday schedule, from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, with a 30-minute lunch break and no weekend work.

Duties of the Vehicle Damage Assessor:
  • Conduct detailed vehicle damage assessments for manufacturer-approved repairs
  • Prepare accurate repair estimates using Autoflow DMS and Audatex systems
  • Support the transition to a paperless workflow and contribute to process improvements
  • Collaborate with colleagues to streamline workshop operations and enhance customer service
  • Upsell additional repair services to maximise profitability and customer satisfaction
  • Mentor an apprentice VDA (if ATA accredited) and assist in team development
  • Lead initiatives aimed at improving workflow efficiency and quality standards
  • Maintain excellent communication with customers and insurance companies
  • Keep up-to-date with manufacturer guidelines and repair procedures
Requirements:
  • ATA VDA accreditation or NVQ VDA qualification highly preferred
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor or Estimator, ideally within a manufacturer-approved environment
  • Strong understanding of Autoflow DMS and Audatex systems
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Proactive, flexible, and adaptable mindset, with leadership potential
