We are recruiting a Vehicle Diagnostic Technician or Master Technician on behalf of a well-established automotive dealership located in Colindale, North West London.   • Competitive basic salary ranging from £38,000 to £45,000 per annum plus bonus and paid overtime on Saturday mornings (1-in-3 rota), with uncapped OTE exceeding £50,000 for Diagnostic Technicians.

Duties of a Vehicle Diagnostic Technician:
  • Complete scheduled vehicle servicing in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
  • Perform diagnostics to identify vehicle faults and develop accurate repair recommendations.
  • Conduct electronic visual health checks on all vehicles and prepare detailed reports with customer advice.
  • Effectively liaise with customers and service advisors to ensure excellent customer experience.
  • Execute repairs and servicing to high standards, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Participate in ongoing training to maintain and enhance technical skills.
  • Contribute to process improvements at local and company levels.
  • Mentor apprentices and provide technical guidance to team members.
Requirements of a Vehicle Diagnostic Technician:
  • Level 3 qualified vehicle technician with a full UK driving licence.
  • Proven experience in diagnostic procedures and vehicle servicing.
  • MOT Tester certification is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Organised with excellent time management capabilities.
  • Customer-focused approach, able to explain technical issues clearly.
  • Ability to work efficiently within set deadlines as the Vehicle Diagnostic Technician.
