Vehicle Technician – Agricultural & Specialist Vehicles – £35k–£40k
Looking for something a little different from the usual workshop technician role?
We’re looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician / HGV Technician to join a busy workshop maintaining and repairing a varied fleet of vans and agricultural vehicles.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys getting stuck into different types of vehicles, faults and repairs rather than working on the same cars day in, day out.
Vehicle Mechanic/Technician
- Basic salary between £35,000 - £45,000 dependent on experience
- Monday - Friday - Shifts Available 8am-5pm
- No Weekends (If Saturday is required it is paid at time and a half)
- Uniform and PPE provided
- Varied workshop and occasional site-based work
Responsibilities of an Vehicle Mechanic/Technician:
- In the role of Vehicle Technician, you will be essential in maintaining and repairing vans and agricultural vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Reporting to the Workshop Manager
- Servicing
- Maintaining and fixing various faults and mechanical issues
- Dealing with electrical faults in units
- Maintaining and fixing driving and parking sensors
- Required to work on Vans and Agricultural Vehicle
- Complete administrative tasks and reports as requested
- Fixing Suzie lines and connections
- Diagnostic work
- Brakes checks and changes
- Suspension and hydraulic work
- MOT Prep & Post MOT repairs
Requirements of Vehicle Mechanic/Technician
- Ideally have a Level 2 or 3 qualification with Vehicle Maintenance and Repair/ HGV Technician or be time served with 10+ years service.
- Vehicle Technician, HGV Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician experience
- Full UK driving licence
- Must have your own hand tools to bring with you
