Aka Recruitment are proud to be working with a fantastic client of ours, to bring you this exciting Vehicle Technician opportunity. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified and experienced technician to join a busy and supportive prestigious workshop environment in Stafford , working alongside an experienced team and benefiting from excellent training and career progression opportunities. The role offers £34,000 basic salary, with OTE up to £41,230 (uncapped) , plus a £3,000 Productivity Bonus and an uncapped Time Saved Bonus Scheme, depending on level. Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm, with 1 in 3 Saturdays, 8:30am–12:30pm.

Job Duties Include:

  • Carry out vehicle health checks using the latest diagnostic technology.
  • Conduct vehicle servicing in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and customer requirements.
  • Carry out additional repairs once authorised by the customer.
  • Complete warranty repairs in line with manufacturer guidelines and ensure all relevant paperwork is completed accurately.
  • Carry out road tests to ensure all faults have been correctly identified and rectified.
  • Complete all relevant job cards and paperwork to a high standard.
  • Maintain excellent standards of workmanship across all vehicles.
  • Work as part of a supportive workshop team while taking responsibility for your own workload.
  • Follow all relevant health, safety and manufacturer procedures.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service throughout the repair and servicing process.

Requirements:

  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
  • Previous experience within the motor industry, either within a main dealer or independent garage.
  • Strong technical ability and a genuine passion for vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Full and valid UK driving licence.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ambitious and keen to develop your skills and knowledge.
  • High standards of workmanship and excellent attention to detail.
  • Previous manufacturer experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Diagnostic, MOT and EV experience is desirable but not essential.
