Vehicle Technician/Mechanic in Prestwich, Borough of Bury

Motor Mechanic/Vehicle Technician:

• Full Time/Permanent
• Monday - Friday + alternating Saturdays - 42.5 – 45 hours a week
• Salary between £30,000 - £40,000
• UNCAPPED Individual Time Save Bonus - OTE up to £55,000
• 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays)

The Role of a Mechanic/Vehicle Technician:

• Carry out services on specific makes and models of vehicles
• Perform maintenance and repairs on customer vehicles - such as oil changes, fluid level checks, and tire rotation
• Identify issues with vehicles using the diagnostic equipment
• General maintenance and repairs
• Brakes checks and changes (pads and discs)
• Suspension work
• Repairs on lights
• Repairing and replacing exhausts
• Repairing and replacing clutches
• Dealing with gearboxes
• Plan and keep up to date records of repair procedures using charts manuals and experience.
• Test the functionality of parts and systems once repairs are completed

Mechanic/Vehicle Technician Requirements:

• NVQ/City & Guilds/IMI certifications required to Level 3 or Level 2 accepted with a minimum of 5 years services
• Hold a full valid UK Manual driver license - No major convictions DD, DR, IN
• Must have own Tools and Toolbox
• Experience of working with cars and vans is beneficial
