40-hour working week Monday to Friday 8.30-5pm
We are currently recruiting for a Vehicle Technician to join a busy and successful main dealership in Hereford.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Level 3 qualified technician looking for a strong basic salary, additional earning potential and genuine manufacturer-backed career progression. There is a clear salary and progression structure based on your technical ability and accreditation, meaning you can increase your basic salary as your skills develop:
Prep Technician – up to £35,000
Service & Maintenance Technician – up to £36,200
Service & Diagnostic Technician – up to £38,600
Senior Technician – up to £41,000
Master Technician – up to £45,800

Vehicle Technician Role As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Carrying out servicing and routine maintenance
- Mechanical repairs across a range of vehicle systems
- Fault finding and diagnostic work depending on experience
- Completing more complex repairs at Senior/Diagnostic level
- Carrying out vehicle inspections and identifying additional work
- Ensuring repairs are completed accurately and efficiently
- Working towards strong first-time-fix standards
- Completing all relevant job cards and workshop documentation
- Maintaining manufacturer and dealership standards
- Working closely with the wider workshop and aftersales team
- Level 3 Automotive qualification – City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent
- Current experience working as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic
- Main dealer experience would be advantageous but isn't essential
- MOT licence is desirable but not essential
- Own set of tools
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong mechanical and fault-finding ability
- Professional approach with a focus on quality workmanship
