We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable multi-franchise approved car dealership in Cardiff, for the position of Vehicle Technician. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced motor trade professionals to join a well-established team within a family-run dealership.

Duties of the Vehicle Technician:
  • Conduct fault diagnosis, servicing, and repairs on a wide range of vehicle makes and models
  • Adhere to manufacturer and client quality standards, health, and safety procedures
  • Report on vehicle condition, safety, reliability, and performance to the Service Manager
  • Complete MOT inspections to a high standard (Class 4 MOT qualification preferred, but not essential)
  • Maintain consistent high-quality work in a busy dealership environment
  • Work collaboratively with the workshop team to achieve departmental targets
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of all workshop jobs and documentation
Requirements of the Vehicle Technician:
  • IMI/NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ practical experience as a Vehicle Technician
  • Class 4 MOT licence preferred; without are still encouraged to apply
  • Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
  • Strong motivation, team-oriented attitude, and commitment to high standards
  • Ability to produce high-quality work in a fast-paced franchise-approved dealership
  • Reside within a reasonable commute to Cardiff
