We are recruiting on behalf of a reputable automotive business near Chorley, Lancashire, for the position of Car & LCV Technician. Duties of the Car & LCV Technician:
  • Conduct servicing and repairs on cars and vans to high standards
  • Diagnose faults accurately using advanced diagnostic tools and manufacturer software
  • Perform mechanical repairs including brakes, clutches, gearboxes, engines, and electrical systems
  • Service and repair trailers where required
  • Prepare and present vehicles for MOT testing and inspections
  • Conduct roller brake testing and fault diagnosis
  • Maintain detailed documentation for each job, including job cards and parts used
  • Adhere to all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional standards
  • Communicate effectively with the Workshop Supervisor regarding tooling or support needs
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle or Commercial Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a Car & LCV Technician with strong diagnostic capabilities
  • Full UK driving licence is essential
  • Own a comprehensive set of tools
  • Organised, motivated, and committed to delivering quality results
  • Team-oriented with a positive, professional attitude
