We are currently recruiting for a Vehicle Technician on behalf of a well-established and reputable automotive service centre in Grays, Essex. This vehicle technician role presents an excellent opportunity for experienced motor trade professionals seeking career development within a busy, professional environment. Benefits of a Vehicle Technician:
  • Salary between £35,000 – £40,000, depending on experience
  • Uncapped bonus structure with a realistic OTE of £50,000+
  • Monday to Friday working hours, 45 hours per week, with flexible start and finish times
  • Alternating Saturday shifts, typically one in three, from 8am to 2pm

Duties of a Vehicle Technician:
  • Conduct diagnostic, repair, and maintenance work on a variety of vehicle makes and models
  • Diagnose faults efficiently to reduce vehicle downtime
  • Provide exceptional customer service by clearly communicating vehicle issues
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines and workshop procedures
  • Maintain accurate service records and complete job sheets promptly
  • Ensure quality workmanship and adherence to industry standards
Requirements of a Vehicle Technician:
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or in a similar role within the automotive industry
  • Full and valid motor vehicle technician qualifications, such as NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Good organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Customer-focused attitude and professional approach
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
