We are currently seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join a reputable independent garage in Bedford.   • Basic salary up to £45,000
  • Monday to Friday working hours, 8:30am – 5:00pm

Duties of a Vehicle Technician:
  • Conduct fault diagnosis, servicing, and repairs in accordance with manufacturer standards
  • Perform full vehicle services and repairs on a diverse range of vehicles, predominantly cars, with some vans
  • Use modern diagnostic tools to identify faults efficiently and accurately
  • Record vehicle condition, safety, reliability, and performance issues
  • Carry out MOT testing (Class 4 and potentially Class 7) if holding the relevant licence
  • Ensure work is completed to a high standard, maintaining safety and quality standards
  • Work efficiently within a team of dedicated technicians, contributing to a positive workshop environment
Requirements of a Vehicle Technician:
  • NVQ Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience within a workshop environment
  • Time-served technicians without formal qualifications are encouraged to apply
  • MOT Licence preferred but not essential
  • Own tools are required
  • Diagnostic experience is advantageous
  • Experience working on German vehicles is desirable but not essential
  • A proactive approach to skills development and career progression
