We are currently recruiting on behalf of a respected independent service centre in Andover for a Vehicle Technician. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals to join a well-established local business with over 60 years of operation. The Vehicle Technician will be integral to delivering high-quality vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs, ensuring customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Duties of the Vehicle Technician:
  • Conduct fault diagnosis, servicing, maintenance, and repair work on customer vehicles
  • Accurately identify vehicle faults and report on vehicle condition, safety, reliability, and performance to the Workshop Manager
  • Adhere to all health and safety protocols and work quality procedures
  • Work efficiently within a busy workshop environment
  • Ensure all work is completed to the highest standard and within set deadlines
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of all work carried out
  • Support team members as required to meet workshop targets
Requirements of the Vehicle Technician:
  • No formal qualifications are mandatory, but an IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair is advantageous
  • Extensive practical, "time served" experience as a Vehicle Technician
  • Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
  • Strong team player with a commitment to quality workmanship
  • High standard of work and attention to detail
  • Motivated to work towards team targets
  • A Class 4 and 7 MOT testing licence is desirable but not essential; training can be provided for suitable individuals
