We are currently seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a well-established, family-run independent garage based in Uckfield, East Sussex. The Vehicle Technician will play a vital role in maintaining the reputation of this reputable local business through high standards of vehicle repair and maintenance.

Duties of the Vehicle Technician Role:
  • Diagnose and repair a broad range of vehicles, including light commercial vehicles and minibuses
  • Conduct MOT repairs and inspections for classes 4, 6, and 7
  • Maintain vehicle health through regular inspections and repairs
  • Perform general maintenance tasks adhering to manufacturer guidelines
  • Use diagnostic scanners and hand tools to identify faults and implement effective repairs
  • Support the team in ensuring smooth workshop operations and exceptional customer service
Requirements of the Vehicle Technician Role:
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in vehicle repairs
  • Broad knowledge of all vehicle types, including light commercial vehicles and minibuses
  • MOT licence is desirable but not essential
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently in a busy environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools such as Autodata and Snap-on equipment is preferred
  • Proactive attitude and passion for automotive technology
