We are recruiting on behalf of our client for the position of Vehicle Technician in Reading, Berkshire. Duties of the Vehicle Technician:
  • Perform comprehensive vehicle servicing and maintenance tasks including diagnostics and warranty work
  • Carry out routine jobs such as oil changes, cambelt replacements, and electronic health checks
  • Complete digital job cards and accurate documentation for each vehicle serviced
  • Conduct electronic vehicle health checks (eVHCs) adhering to manufacturer standards
  • Maintain high safety protocols and quality standards in all tasks
  • Support team members with technical and customer-focused activities
Requirements of the Vehicle Technician:
  • Recognised Level 3 qualification (IMI, City & Guilds or equivalent)
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Service Technician or Mechanic, with familiarity in warranty and servicing work
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of modern vehicle systems, including electric and hybrid technologies (training provided)
  • MOT licence advantageous but not essential, as full training can be provided
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous professional development
