A well-established car dealership in Epsom, Surrey, is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester to join their professional team. Duties of the Vehicle Technician:
  • Conduct routine servicing and maintenance on passenger and commercial vehicles
  • Diagnose and repair faults efficiently and accurately
  • Support mechanical and electrical repairs as part of the team
  • Perform vehicle inspections and diagnostics adhering to industry standards
  • Provide technical advice to customers and colleagues
  • Support MOT testing, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and safety regulations
  • Participate in ongoing training to remain current with emerging vehicle technologies, including electric vehicles
Requirements of the Vehicle Technician:
  • Full UK driving licence held for at least six months
  • NVQ Level 3 City & Guilds or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
  • Minimum of two years’ post-apprenticeship experience within an automotive environment
  • MOT testing qualification preferred for the Vehicle Technician role
  • Previous experience within a main dealership or similar environment advantageous
  • Strong enthusiasm for learning electric vehicle maintenance and repair
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and customer-focused with excellent communication skills
