We are recruiting on behalf of our client, one of the UK's leading automotive retailers, for the position of Vehicle Technician at their franchise-approved dealership in Hereford, Herefordshire. Duties of a Vehicle Technician:
  • Conduct fault diagnosis, servicing, maintenance, and repairs on customer vehicles
  • Accurately identify vehicle faults and report findings to the Service Manager
  • Adhere to all quality standards, health & safety procedures, and franchise guidelines
  • Ensure vehicle safety, reliability, and performance meet company and manufacturer standards
  • Work efficiently within a busy, professional workshop environment
  • Maintain accurate records of all work undertaken and communicate effectively with team members
  • Support team targets and maintain high standards of workmanship
  • Participate in optional activities such as MOT testing if holding an active MOT Smart Card
Requirements of a Vehicle Technician:
  • Qualified to at least IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • Minimum of one to two years’ practical experience as a Vehicle Technician
  • Full UK driving licence with minimal points
  • Own set of tools
  • Prior experience in franchise-approved dealerships is highly advantageous but not essential
  • Motivated, team-oriented, and able to deliver high-quality work
  • Active MOT Smart Card holder is desirable but not essential
