We are seeking a qualified Vehicle Technician to join a reputable main dealership in Solihull, West Midlands. The Vehicle Technician will work in a modern, fully equipped workshop, servicing a variety of vehicles, including hybrid and electric models. Duties for the Vehicle Technician position:
  • Carrying out routine servicing, repairs, and maintenance on diverse vehicles
  • Working on mechanical systems including suspension, brakes, steering, and exhausts
  • Performing diagnostic checks and fault diagnostics using electronic diagnostic tools
  • Servicing and repairing hybrid and electric vehicles (training provided)
  • Fitting manufacturer-approved accessories and upgrades
  • Completing job cards and service documentation accurately
  • Providing excellent customer service and collaborating effectively with workshop colleagues
Requirements of the Vehicle Technician:
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Full UK driving license
  • MOT testing licence (desirable, not essential)
  • Hybrid or EV qualification (advantageous, not essential; full training provided)
  • Proactive approach with an emphasis on quality and efficiency
