We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our client’s well-established independent garage in Portsmouth, Hampshire.   • OTE approximately £38,000 including overtime
  • Hours of work from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday

Duties:
  • Conduct routine servicing, diagnostics, and repairs across various vehicle makes and models
  • Perform MOT testing within the garage’s existing facilities
  • Assist in maintaining high first-time fix rates to uphold the garage’s reputation
  • Repair mechanical components such as clutches, cambelts, and brakes
  • Support limited EV service work, mainly brakes and tyres
  • Ensure all work is completed efficiently, accurately, and to a high standard
  • Deliver excellent customer service, building confidence and trust
  • Collaborate with the team to support business growth through technical proficiency
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician, with relevant qualifications or time-served background
  • An MOT license is desirable but not essential; willingness to undertake training if required
  • Strong understanding of diagnostic tools and technical data, including Autodata
  • Confident with scanners such as Launch Diagnostic and basic EV servicing (brakes and tyres)
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
  • Effective communication skills with customers and team members
  • Experience in an independent garage environment is advantageous
