Description

  • Lead and promote health and safety compliance across a busy conference and events venue.
  • Provide expert advice on risk management, policies, and safe working practices.
  • Oversee building, plant, and infrastructure safety, ensuring statutory compliance.
  • Support the safe planning and delivery of live events, exhibitions, and conferences.
  • Manage contractor safety, including RAMS reviews, permits to work, and compliance monitoring.
  • Lead incident reporting, investigations, and corrective action processes.
  • Support fire safety, emergency preparedness, and evacuation procedures.
  • Oversee water hygiene and Legionella control programmes.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and compliance reviews to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Deliver safety training, maintain documentation, and foster a positive safety culture across the organisation.

Profile

A successful Venue Health and Safety Advisor should have:

  • NEBOSH and IOSH essential.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments and creating safety policies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and provide clear guidance to teams.
  • Problem-solving skills to address and resolve safety concerns effectively.
  • Familiarity with the public sector or facilities management environment is beneficial.
  • Experience working within venues, conference centres, exhibition spaces, stadiums, office buildings, or other complex public-facing environments.

Job Offer

  • Daily rate of £200 - £250, dependent on the level of experience.
  • 3-6 months FTC, London based
