Description
- Lead and promote health and safety compliance across a busy conference and events venue.
- Provide expert advice on risk management, policies, and safe working practices.
- Oversee building, plant, and infrastructure safety, ensuring statutory compliance.
- Support the safe planning and delivery of live events, exhibitions, and conferences.
- Manage contractor safety, including RAMS reviews, permits to work, and compliance monitoring.
- Lead incident reporting, investigations, and corrective action processes.
- Support fire safety, emergency preparedness, and evacuation procedures.
- Oversee water hygiene and Legionella control programmes.
- Conduct audits, inspections, and compliance reviews to identify and mitigate risks.
- Deliver safety training, maintain documentation, and foster a positive safety culture across the organisation.
Profile
A successful Venue Health and Safety Advisor should have:
- NEBOSH and IOSH essential.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience in conducting risk assessments and creating safety policies.
- Ability to communicate effectively and provide clear guidance to teams.
- Problem-solving skills to address and resolve safety concerns effectively.
- Familiarity with the public sector or facilities management environment is beneficial.
- Experience working within venues, conference centres, exhibition spaces, stadiums, office buildings, or other complex public-facing environments.
Job Offer
- Daily rate of £200 - £250, dependent on the level of experience.
- 3-6 months FTC, London based
