Due to continued growth and increasing customer demand, we are currently seeking an experienced Visual Dimensional Inspector to join their skilled manufacturing team. The successful candidate will carry out visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured components to ensure they meet engineering specifications.
Working from engineering drawings, you’ll use precision measuring equipment to check dimensions and tolerances.
You’ll identify and report defects or non-conformances and accurately record inspection results.
You’ll work closely with production teams to maintain high standards of quality, accuracy and traceability.
Job Overview
Job Title: Visual Dimensional Inspector
Salary: £31,871 + 12.5% Shift Allowance
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Mornings and Afternoons, rotating Weekly

Responsibilities
- Carry out incoming, in-process, and final inspections using height gauges, verniers, and micrometres
- Prepare and maintain accurate inspection reports and documentation
- Support and participate in internal and external audits
- Identify and raise non-conformances, providing feedback to production
- Use part marking equipment and produce data cards/documentation for dispatch
- Promote a quality-focused culture across the shop floor
- Follow SOPs to meet production and delivery targets
- Maintain equipment and ensure a safe working environment
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a Quality Inspection role
- Strong understanding of quality standards and processes
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience using a FARO arm
- Background within highly regulated sectors
- Engineering qualification (NVQ or equivalent) (desirable)
- Experience within the aerospace industry
