The Cherry Tree is a lovely four-bedroom home, three bedrooms upstairs and one annex downstairs. The home benefits from en suites in all of the rooms and a lovely conservatory, lounge, dining room and kitchen downstairs. The Cherry tree is situated in a quiet residential room, within a 15-minute walk from Cheam and Belmont. Both have excellent transport links to Sutton, Cheam and London.
The Cherry tree is within walking distance of the local common where local walks can take place.
The Home is registered for four adults over the age of 18 years who have diagnosis of autism, learning disability and associated mental health conditions.
The home boasts beautiful surrounding gardens with easy access for all Individuals; this is utilized to the full in the summer months. Individuals can access all areas of the home and visitors are welcomed to spend time with Individuals in communal rooms or in the privacy of the Individuals bedrooms.
The physical environment of the home is designed for Individual's convenience and comfort in particular. We aim to:
● Maintain the building and grounds in safe condition.
● Provide detailed arrangements for the communal areas of the home to be safe and comfortable.
● Provide toilet, washing and bathing facilities suitable for the Individuals for whom we support.
● Provide individual accommodation which is as bespoke as possible.
● Ensure that Individuals personal space is safe, comfortable and the individuals are surrounded by their own possessions.
● Ensure that the home is kept clean, hygienic and free from unpleasant odours with systems in place to control the spread of infection.
About The Role
Working Nigh Support Worker - Key Responsibilities
Provide person-centred support to individuals, promoting independence, choice, dignity, and wellbeing in line with care plans, risk assessments, and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans.
female waking night staff member to cover three night per week. The nights will be Sunday, Monday and Wednesday per week. To cover from December but will need to start slightly earlier for shadowing, induction. For a minimum of nine months. Must be a female as one of our individuals can only be supported by females and this is in her care plan.
Key Duties:
- Deliver tailored support that meets individuals' physical, emotional, social, and mental health needs.
- Encourage independence, life skills development, and participation in education, employment, volunteering, and community activities.
- Assist with personal care, mobility, nutrition, continence care, and the use of specialist equipment where required.
- Support health and wellbeing by monitoring needs, attending appointments, promoting healthy lifestyles, and maintaining accurate records.
- Administer and manage medication safely in accordance with policies and training.
- Follow PBS strategies, support individuals during periods of distress, and promote least restrictive practices.
- Safeguard individuals by identifying and reporting concerns, promoting rights, dignity, and protection from harm.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming living environment, supporting daily household tasks and health and safety standards.
- Complete accurate documentation, including daily notes, incident reports, health records, and financial records.
- Support individuals with budgeting, personal finances, and accessing benefits where appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
- Adhere to organisational policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards while contributing to continuous service improvement.
- Participate in training, supervision, and flexible shift patterns, including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, sleep-ins, and waking nights as required.
