Waking Night Support Worker



Durham | £17-£20 per Hour

We are recruiting Waking Night Support Workers to provide overnight support to a young person with SEND and additional needs.

As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the individual's safety, wellbeing and comfort throughout the night.



Responsibilities

  • Maintaining a safe overnight environment.
  • Providing reassurance and emotional support.
  • Monitoring wellbeing throughout the shift.
  • Following care and support plans.
  • Completing welfare checks as required.
  • Recording observations and reports.
  • Supporting routines and individual needs.
  • Responding appropriately to incidents or emergencies.


What We're Looking For



Essential

  • Previous care, support or childcare experience.
  • Strong observation skills.
  • Reliable and professional approach.
  • Ability to work lone shifts where required.
  • Strong safeguarding awareness.


Desirable

  • Residential childcare experience.
  • SEND experience.
  • Autism support experience.
  • Learning disability support.
  • SEMH experience.
  • Medication administration training.
