Warehouse and Fulfilment Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced supply chain professional to take a leading role in shaping the future warehousing and fulfilment strategy of a large, complex organisation. This is a high-profile position focused on designing future operating models, improving logistics performance, and delivering long-term operational excellence across warehousing, fulfilment, returns, and inventory services. This is an interim role for 3-6 months with hybrid working with 3 days per week in the office.

Your new role

As Warehousing, Fulfilment & Logistics Strategy Manager, you will lead a strategic review of warehousing and fulfilment operations, assessing current capabilities and defining future operating models that support business growth and customer requirements.Key responsibilities include:

• Developing future warehousing and fulfilment operating models
• Assessing current logistics, fulfilment, staging, returns, and refurbishment activities
• Evaluating internal, outsourced, and hybrid operating solutions
• Building business cases and recommendations for senior stakeholders
• Defining operational, technology, security, and service requirements
• Developing implementation, mobilisation, and transition roadmaps
• Working cross-functionally with operational, procurement, finance, technology, and property teams
• Identifying opportunities for immediate operational improvement while supporting long-term strategy

This role offers a unique opportunity to influence major business decisions and shape future logistics capabilities. To be successful, you will have:

• Significant experience within warehousing, fulfilment, logistics strategy, or supply chain transformation
• Strong operating model design, business case development, and strategic planning skills
• Experience evaluating warehouse, fulfilment, returns, and partner delivery models
• The ability to translate complex operational and technology requirements into practical solutions
• Strong commercial, financial, programme, and risk management capabilities
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills

Experience with warehouse management systems, outsourced logistics providers, or multi-site transformation programmes would be advantageous.
