We are recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Manager to join a busy and growing operation based in Chessington. This is a key role within the business, responsible for leading the warehouse team and ensuring the smooth, safe and efficient running of all warehouse activities.
The Role
As Warehouse Manager, you will oversee the full warehouse operation, from goods in and stock control through to picking, packing, order fulfilment and dispatch. You will ensure customer orders are processed accurately and delivered on time, including domestic and international shipments.
You will lead and develop the warehouse team, creating a positive and accountable working environment where safety, productivity and customer service are priorities.
The role will also involve planning warehouse resources, managing stock levels and inventory accuracy, monitoring KPIs and identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiency. You will work closely with Purchasing, Sales, Finance and Senior Management to support operational planning and the continued growth of the business.
Health and safety will be a key part of the role, ensuring the warehouse operates in line with legislation, company procedures and safe working practices. You will also oversee warehouse equipment, housekeeping, security and general operational standards.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager, Warehouse Supervisor or Team Leader with a strong understanding of warehouse operations, goods inward, stock control and dispatch.
You will be a confident people manager with the ability to motivate, coach and develop a team, while also being willing to get involved and lead from the front when required.
Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. You should also have experience managing warehouse KPIs, operational reporting and warehouse management systems.
Desirable experience includes a Forklift Truck Licence, knowledge of Dangerous Goods/IATA regulations, international shipping and export documentation, or experience with Lean/continuous improvement projects.
