Exciting opportunity to work in a museum in central London, must be able to travel to South Kensington. You must be available to start ASAP for 6 months, with a review of being extended.
Hours 07.45 to 16.00 you will be working 5 out of 7 days including weekends. First Day Only 09.00
1 full weekend in 4 with two days' rest before the weekend and one rota'd day off after the weekend
Breaks - 15 Mins Morning Tea - 1 hour Lunch Break (unpaid)
Pay: £13.85
Main Responsibilities
- Assist the Warehouse Manager, Assistant Warehouse Managers and warehouse colleagues with all aspects of warehouse stock control. Keep a well-organized and well-maintained warehouse operation at all times.
- Producing Ecommerce web orders using the Magento/Shiptheory online fulfilment system, picking and packing goods for web orders to be despatched by two separate carriers.
- Communicate internally and externally with customers, suppliers and NHM stakeholders in a professional manner at all times whether by phone or e-mail, reflecting Museum values and customer service standards.
- Work within the other 3 core warehouse teams as required by the business needs:
- Goods In: Process delivery bookings, stock receipts, customer returns, shop returns, Pricing Goods and damages.
- Stock Management: Replenish warehouse, pick orders for shops, online customers and wholesale.
- Goods Out: Pick, check and pack all outgoing orders for Museum Stores and wholesale orders, and process through the Stock Management System.
- Complete bi-annual and weekly rolling stocktakes, and any subsequent recounts as defined by the Central Team. Ensure all counts are signed off by the Warehouse Manager and or Assistant Warehouse Managers
- Report instances of inventory variance to Warehouse Manager and or Assistant Warehouse Managers.
- Comply with the Museum's Health and Safety and Fire Safety policies and procedures and with the HASAW act at all times. Report any health and safety or facilities concerns to the Warehouse Manager and or Assistant Warehouse Managers in a timely fashion.
- Assist in the opening and closing of exhibition shops by delivering goods in a timely fashion and checking off returns when site is closed.
- Process write-offs and customer returns. For Museum Stores and Web Customer Orders.
