Alexander Steele Recruitment is working in partnership with a large and well-established wholesale food business in Glasgow to recruit a Warehouse Operative to join their busy distribution operation.

This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced warehouse environment, supporting the accurate and efficient receipt, storage, picking and despatch of food products to customers across the UK.

The Role:

• Picking and preparing customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Loading and unloading deliveries, ensuring stock is handled safely and correctly.
• Checking incoming and outgoing goods against relevant documentation.
• Moving and storing stock within the warehouse in line with company procedures.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, housekeeping and food hygiene.
• Working closely with the wider warehouse and distribution team to ensure orders are dispatched on time.
• Following all relevant Health & Safety, food safety and company procedures.
• Supporting general warehouse duties as required.

About You:

• Previous warehouse, distribution or logistics experience would be beneficial.
• Experience within a food, FMCG or wholesale environment would be advantageous.
• Comfortable working in a busy, physically demanding environment.
• Good attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy.
• Reliable, hardworking and willing to get stuck in as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Flexible approach to working hours and warehouse requirements.
