💷 Salary: £12.75 per hour

About Direct Channel Support Systems

Direct Channel Support Systems Ltd is a growing UK distributor of cable management, support systems and associated products for the mechanical, electrical and construction sectors.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join our team at our Tipton warehouse.

🚀 We are hiring immediately and are looking for someone who can become a dependable, long-term member of the business.

📦 Main Responsibilities

Your day-to-day duties will include:

• Accurately picking and packing customer orders
• Checking products and quantities before dispatch
• Labelling and preparing packages for delivery
• Receiving, checking and putting away incoming goods
• Assisting with stock control and maintaining accurate stock levels
• Handling customer collections professionally
• Using a computer for basic warehouse and order-processing tasks
• Keeping the warehouse clean, organised and safe
• Loading and unloading deliveries
• Supporting other warehouse duties when required
• Operating a forklift where required and appropriately licensed

The role may also include light manufacturing and product-processing tasks, such as:

• Processing works orders
• Measuring and cutting strut channel
• Using chop saws and other light machinery
• Preparing products to customer specifications

Full training will be provided for machinery and product-processing tasks.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous warehouse, picking, packing or similar practical experience
• A reliable and punctual approach to work
• Strong attention to detail
• A positive, hands-on and “can-do” attitude
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic computer skills
• Good communication and organisational skills
• The ability to carry out physical warehouse duties safely

Forklift Licence

A valid forklift licence is highly desirable and will be a strong advantage when applications are reviewed. However, it is not essential, and suitable candidates without a licence are still encouraged to apply.
