We're looking for a motivated Warehouse Operative to join a busy Groundcare team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on role and takes pride in keeping warehouse operations running efficiently.
The Role
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming deliveries from suppliers.
- Unpack, check, and accurately book in machinery, parts, and equipment.
- Safely load and unload delivery vehicles.
- Move stock between the warehouse, showroom, and goods-in areas.
- Pick, pack, and prepare stock for dispatch to branches and customers.
- Carry out regular stock checks and support inventory control.
- Maintain accurate stock records using warehouse systems.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards.
- Work closely with colleagues, suppliers, and other departments to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Forklift Truck Licence.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, email, and internet use.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physically fit and able to safely lift items up to 25kg.
- A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, stock control, or goods-in role.
- Experience handling machinery, agricultural, horticultural, or groundcare equipment.
