Trek Recruitment is hiring a Warehouse Operative on behalf of our client, an established manufacturing company in Chirk.
This is a permanent role in a well-run warehouse supporting the safe movement of their manufactured products — from goods-in through picking, packing and despatch.

THE ROLE
This is not a faceless warehouse. You will work for a manufacturing business with real products, real customers and a team that depends on accurate picking and tidy, safe work.
  • Permanent contract — not seasonal agency fill-in
  • 37-hour week, Monday to Friday — evenings and weekends free
  • Varied days: picking, packing, stock checks, loading and unloading
  • Supportive warehouse, transport, production and office teams

Day-to-day you will:
  • Pick orders accurately against picking lists and customer instructions
  • Check descriptions, quantities, dimensions and product condition
  • Pack and label products securely
  • Complete stock checks and report shortages or discrepancies
  • Load and unload deliveries safely
  • Prepare complete, secure loads for despatch
  • Move stock using approved manual handling and authorised equipment
  • Keep warehouse areas clean, clear and organised
  • Report damaged goods, hazards, near misses and safety concerns
  • Work closely with warehouse, transport, production and administration colleagues
The role involves standing, walking, bending, reaching and handling warehouse products. Some items are bulky, awkward or heavy. Safe methods, mechanical aids and team lifts are used whenever needed.
Who we're looking for
Essential
  • Reliable timekeeping and a practical, can-do approach
  • Previous manufacturing and/or warehouse experience
  • Willingness to follow picking instructions and safety rules
  • Comfortable with physical warehouse work
  • Basic numeracy and attention to detail (counts, sizes, labels)
  • Team player who will speak up about stock or safety issues
Useful (training can be given)
  • Previous warehouse, picker/packer, manufacturing experience
  • Familiarity with goods-in / goods-out or stock control
  • Experience with pallet trucks or other authorised warehouse equipment
  • Full UK driving licence
Location: Wrexham, Oswestry, Llangollen and the wider North Wales / Shropshire border.
