Warehouse Supervisor in Yate, Gloucestershire

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established business in Yate for an experienced Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor to lead warehouse operations and oversee a busy delivery function.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be responsible for managing a warehouse team of six employees while coordinating a fleet operation consisting of eight vans, seven drivers, and two relief drivers. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring efficient warehouse performance, stock accuracy, and timely customer deliveries.

• Lead, motivate and develop a warehouse team of six staff.
• Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring productivity and high service standards.
• Manage the scheduling and coordination of an eight-vehicle delivery fleet.
• Support and supervise seven permanent drivers and two relief drivers.
• Ensure efficient goods-in, storage, picking, packing and dispatch processes.
• Maintain accurate stock control and inventory management using SAP.
• Monitor driver compliance, vehicle utilisation and delivery performance.
• Drive continuous improvements across warehouse and logistics operations.
• Ensure all health & safety procedures are followed and maintained.
• Produce operational reports and maintain accurate records within SAP.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Proven warehouse leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong logistics and transport coordination experience.
• Experience managing teams within a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• SAP experience (essential).
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple operational activities.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Good understanding of stock control, inventory management and warehouse best practices.
• A proactive and hands-on approach to management.
