Pearson Whiffin Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Wax Assembly Factory Operative to join a busy and established manufacturing environment based in Rochester.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and takes pride in producing high-quality products. You'll be joining a skilled production team where attention to detail, accuracy and a strong approach to health and safety are essential.
Whether you've previously worked within manufacturing, production, assembly, engineering, foundry work or another hands-on environment, we'd be keen to hear from you.
The Role
Working within the Wax Assembly department, you'll be responsible for assembling wax runner systems ready for the next stage of the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities will include:
- Assembling wax runner systems in line with technical instructions and production requirements
- Using specialist tools and equipment including hot knives, hot plates, craft knives and band saws
- Cutting wax bars using band saw equipment
- Carrying out manual handling duties
- Following technique cards, job instructions and production procedures
- Completing job cards accurately
- Recording production activity using a touchscreen booking system
- Maintaining high standards of quality throughout the production process
- Keeping the working area clean, tidy and organised in line with 5S standards
- Following all relevant health and safety procedures
What We're Looking For
- Previous manufacturing, production, factory or assembly experience would be advantageous
- Comfortable working in a practical, hands-on environment
- Good attention to detail
- Able to follow written instructions and production processes accurately
- Confident using tools and machinery, or willing to learn
- Good awareness of workplace health and safety
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
- Comfortable carrying out manual handling tasks
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
