Wheeled Excavator Driver – Heathrow Airport

Location: British Airways Operations Base, Heathrow Airport
Start Date: 03/08/2026
Pay Rate: £26.00 per hour
Duration: Initial 6–8 week contract, with the potential to continue through to Christmas 2026 for the right candidate.

We are currently recruiting an experienced Wheeled Excavator Driver to join a busy groundworks and civil engineering project at Heathrow Airport.

The Role

The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of groundworks and utilities projects, including:

• Breaking out concrete bays.
• Loading materials into dumpers and muck-away wagons.
• Lifting and transporting materials around site.
• Supporting drainage and utilities installation works.

Requirements

• Blue CPCS Wheeled Excavator Card preferred.
• NPORS card holders will also be considered if they have the relevant experience.
• Previous experience in groundworks, drainage, and utilities is highly desirable.
• Ability to work safely in a live airport environment.

Working Hours

• 07:00 – 16:30
• 9 paid hours per day

Important Information

The site is located within the British Airways Operations Base at Heathrow Airport. As this is an active airside environment, there will be occasions where work must pause to accommodate aircraft movements. All operatives will be required to obtain the necessary airport security access passes before commencing work.
