Wiring Harness Build Technician in Silverstone

We are currently looking for a Wiring Harness Build Technician to work for a forward-thinking engineering company whose projects regularly include genuinely novel technology. Supporting the build of advanced battery and power systems, you will work alongside the engineering and production teams at a modern facility, with the chance to develop your skills on products that are unlike anything else on the market.
 
The Wiring Harness Build Technician will be responsible for:
  • Assembling wiring harnesses and point-to-point ferrule (bootlace) connections for complex panel builds.
  • Working with a wide range of cable sizes, from 90mm² down to small gauge, using crimp tools and hand tools.
  • Assembling all key system components in line with Standard Operating Procedures and build instructions.
  • Completing travellers and maintaining build documentation and records to a high standard.
  • Carrying out visual buddy checks on completed work to ensure it is ready for production.
  • Supporting the engineering team with fault finding and problem-solving during builds.
  • Servicing returned systems, including oil changes and component replacement in line with service schedules.
 
The Wiring Harness Build Technician will have:
  • Experience in wiring harness assembly and panel wiring, including crimping and ferrule terminations.
  • Ability to follow build instructions and Standard Operating Procedures accurately.
  • A good understanding of health and safety and a quality-focused approach.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with a right-first-time mindset.
  • A strong work ethic and a proven ability to deliver results.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and build good relationships at all levels.
  • Experience working with low voltage battery systems (below 60V DC) or automotive-standard assemblies would be advantageous.
