We are working on behalf of a reputable multi-franchise dealership in Cheltenham to recruit a Vehicle Workshop Controller for their busy Service Department. This is a great Workshop Controller opportunity for an experienced automotive professional to join a well-established dealership offering stability and career development. The role of Vehicle Workshop Controller is essential to ensure the smooth operation of the workshop, maintaining high standards of service and efficiency.

Duties of a Workshop Controller:
  • Day-to-day management and control of the workshop team
  • Liaising with the Service Manager and team to optimise processes
  • Communicating customer requirements clearly to technicians
  • Monitoring individual and workshop performance to meet key KPIs
  • Planning workload distribution based on skills and capacity
  • Identifying training and development needs within the team
  • Coordinating between workshop and service reception on vehicle progress
  • Ensuring workshop standards meet HSO and brand requirements
  • Upholding customer satisfaction and service quality
Requirements of a Workshop Controller:
  • Proven experience as a Workshop Controller within a main dealership environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team effectively
  • Results-driven with problem-solving capabilities
  • Knowledge of workshop operations and brand service procedures
  • IT literacy and familiarity with workshop management systems
  • A full UK driving licence with minimal points
  • Residing in or within reasonable commuting distance to Cheltenham
