This is an exciting opportunity for a Workshop Coordinator / Service Coordinator to join an established and growing commercial vehicle sales, service and repair business in Milton Keynes.
With a strong reputation within the UK commercial vehicle industry, the business is continuing to grow and is looking to strengthen its workshop operations.
The role would suit an experienced Workshop Coordinator, Service Coordinator, Workshop Controller or Service Advisor looking for their next opportunity. Candidates with transferable experience in engineering, maintenance, plant, fleet or technical service operations will also be considered

The Workshop Coordinator / Service Coordinator Role
This is a varied, hands-on role combining workshop planning, job scheduling, customer liaison and service administration. You will play an important part in keeping the workshop organised, monitoring job progress and helping resolve issues that could affect productivity or customer deadlines.
Working closely with the Workshop Manager, you will help coordinate the day-to-day running of the workshop, ensuring servicing, maintenance and repair jobs are scheduled effectively, technicians have clear priorities and customers receive an excellent level of service.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the daily activities of the workshop, supporting the Workshop Manager with planning, scheduling and operational organisation.
- Schedule servicing, maintenance and repair work for internal and external customers.
- Coordinate technician workloads, monitor job progress and help ensure work is completed efficiently and within agreed timescales.
- Manage workshop bookings and prioritise jobs according to customer requirements, available resources and deadlines.
- Liaise with customers regarding bookings, quotations, repair progress and completion dates.
- Prepare customer quotations, process invoices and maintain accurate job records.
- Coordinate with the parts department to ensure required parts are available and minimise delays.
- Support the Workshop Manager in improving workshop productivity, efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Your background
We are looking for an organised, proactive individual who can manage competing priorities, communicate effectively and help keep a busy workshop running smoothly.
You may have experience as a:
- Workshop Coordinator
- Service Coordinator
- Workshop Controller
- Service Advisor
- Maintenance Coordinator
- Workshop Planner / Scheduler
- Engineering Coordinator
- Operations Coordinator
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in workshop coordination, service scheduling, maintenance planning or operational support.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple jobs and changing priorities.
- Confident communication skills, with the ability to liaise with technicians, customers and management.
- Experience coordinating workloads, monitoring job progress and maintaining accurate records.
- Good administration skills, ideally including quotations, invoicing and work order processing.
- Confidence using computer systems and Microsoft Office.
- A customer-focused attitude and a commitment to delivering high standards of service.
Experience within commercial vehicles, HGVs, trailers, automotive, plant, agricultural machinery, fleet maintenance, engineering or technical service operations would be advantageous but is not essential.
