Transparency Education is recruiting enthusiastic Wrap Around Care Support Staff for a school-based breakfast and/or after-school provision in Greenwich. Exact shifts will be confirmed during registration, but the position is expected to suit candidates looking for regular part-time hours around the main school day.
As Wrap Around Care Support Staff, you will supervise children, lead age-appropriate activities and help ensure that every child feels happy, included and well cared for.
Responsibilities
• Welcome children and families into the provision.
• Supervise indoor play, outdoor activities, crafts and games.
• Help prepare and serve simple snacks in line with school procedures.
• Encourage positive behaviour, cooperation and respectful relationships.
• Follow collection, attendance and handover procedures carefully.
• Support children with additional needs where required.
• Maintain a safe, organised and inviting environment.
• Report any concerns promptly through the school’s safeguarding procedures.
What we are looking for
Successful Wrap Around Care Support Staff will demonstrate:
• Experience working with children in a school, nursery, club, sports or childcare setting.
• A warm, responsible and energetic approach.
• Reliability and availability during agreed morning or afternoon sessions.
• Good communication with children, colleagues and parents or carers.
• An understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• Paediatric first aid or a childcare qualification is desirable but not essential.
