Location: High Wycombe, HP15

Salary: £26,500–£30,000 (negotiable DOE)

Job Type: Full‑time, Permanent

Hours: 08:00 – 17:00 Monday to Thursday & 07:00 – 16:00 Fridays

About the Role

The company is looking for a hardworking and reliable Production & Yard Operative to join their growing team. This is a varied, hands-on role supporting the day-to-day operation of their busy production facility and yard.

Working closely with the Production Manager, you will be involved in all aspects of goods handling, stock control, yard organisation, production support, and machinery operation. No two days are the same, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys physical work and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Due to rural location, candidates must have own transport.

A full UK Driving Licence is beneficial.

Key Responsibilities

Loading and unloading lorries safely and efficiently

Receiving, checking, and booking in deliveries

Accurately measuring and cutting products to specification

Identifying, picking, and preparing stock accurately

Recording, storing, and putting away materials

Maintaining a tidy, organised, and safe yard environment

Assisting the Production Manager with daily operational tasks

Operating plant, machinery, and production equipment

Supporting production and dispatch activities as required

Following health and safety procedures at all times

About You

The successful candidate will be:

Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties

Reliable, hardworking, and punctual

Confident working both independently and as part of a team

Adaptable and willing to turn their hand to a variety of tasks

Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

Able to work accurately and pay attention to detail

Experienced in a warehouse, yard, production, manufacturing, or construction environment

Confident using machinery, plant, or workshop equipment

Desirable Experience

Structural Steel/Construction sector experience

Forklift licence (advantageous but not essential)

Experience operating plant or production machinery

Stock control and goods-in/goods-out experience
