Year 1 Teacher - Basingstoke

ASAP Start | £150-£220 per day | Full-Time | Temporary

Are you a passionate primary teacher available to start immediately? A welcoming and supportive primary school in Basingstoke is seeking an enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join their team on a temporary basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Year 1 Teacher who enjoys working with younger pupils and is looking for a role where they can make a genuine impact on children's learning and development.

As a Year 1 Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons across the KS1 curriculum.
• Establish a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom.
• Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching to individual needs.
• Support children's academic, social and emotional development.
• Encourage confidence, independence and enthusiasm for learning.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to achieve positive outcomes.

The successful Year 1 Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Previous experience teaching within Key Stage 1.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• A positive, adaptable and child-focused approach.
• High expectations for both learning and behaviour.
• A genuine passion for helping young learners thrive.
